About us

Let Us Tell You Our Story

We are a family owned farm and market in the Youngstown area located on 224, approximately two miles from the Ohio/Pennsylvania line and three miles from I-680. Located between Poland, Struthers and Lowellville, our market serves fresh locally grown fruit, flowers, produce and grocery items. We are open mid-July through the last week in October.

Besides a market, Countryside Farm is also a popular area destination for private parties, wedding photos, engagement photos and field trips. The farm offers barn rentals featuring firepits and indoor restrooms which can be booked to host your next event.

We Produce Only The Freshest Products

We have a wide variety of fresh produce during the summer months and a great selection of decorations for fall.

Summertime

Our year usually starts around Mid-July. We are one of the best local one-stop shops for fresh produce, fruit and flowers.

Seasonal items and fresh produce sold in our market include: Apples, Cider, Cukes, Decorations, Eggplant, Sunflowers, Melons, Mums, Peaches, Peppers, Pickles, Potatoes, Squash, Straw, Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Zucchini

Fall At The Farm

Once the leaves begin to turn orange and red, it is time for our harvest of pumpkins and apples. Stop by for some hot cider or to pick up your fall decorations!

Annual Pumpkinfest

Join us every weekend in October for PumpkinFest featuring fall treats, entertainment and activities for the young, as well as the young at heart!

Pumpkinfest features fall treats, entertainment and activities for the young, as well as the young at heart!

Stop by for pony rides, hay rides, a corn maze, pumpkin painting and more. Or just come out to buy some fresh produce and visit the Halloween store.

Weddings, Events & Pavillion Rentals

If you searching for the ideal place to hold your child’s next birthday party or graduation party then look no further! Throughout the year Countryside Farms hosts a variety of groups and events. Whether you are looking for a place to hold a private party, corporate retreat, field trip, reunion or (just about) any other event, we welcome groups both large and small. Our on-site barn available for rental offers both a picturesque setting as well as most amenities needed for comfort and convenience including indoor plumbing/restrooms, electricity, firepit, tables, chairs and plenty of room to spread out.

The barn is a popular destination for graduation parties, and would be the perfect reception hall for a DIY or rustic themed wedding, as we do not require you to use specific caterers or other vendors. Feel free to bring your own food (or food truck), drink, decor and fun! Bars rentals are typically available May-October.

Our Farm History

The history of our farm market began in the early 1970’s. Our father had a small plot of land and we raised two acres of strawberries and two acres of sweet corn. We sold the produce along the roadside with just a table. The money earned was to help the kids work their way through college.

As the kids graduated college and began their careers in the early 1980’s we expanded our operation to raising six acres of strawberries and six acres of sweet corn, we also built a small stand to sell out of it. By the early 1990’s we began raising vegetables and pumpkins for the fall season. A few years later we decided to focus more on the attention on the summer produce and fall activities so we backed away from the strawberries. By the year 2000 we started offering school tours and pavilion rentals.
